Amp help!

I am thinking of buying one the two following amps;

The first one is really the top of my budget, and I was wondering if it is really worth the extra money? I need the amp for practices, and maybe small gigs, for example a pub or something. Does anyone have/would recommend either of these amps?

Haven't owned one but seems 80 watt difference could be an issue. Can you get to the store and play them, with your bass? That should tell you everything but longevity.

I'd think the one with less power, but a 15" spkr would actually be louder than the one with more power and a smaller speaker.

Play them side by side.

The difference between 100 and 180 watts is about 1.7 decibels, which is virtually insignificant.

The speaker and its cabinet will make far more difference in volume, and in tone.

As Jim says, there is no way to be sure without trying them both.
