Amp-mounted beer/drink holders?

I don't even let people hold drinks near my amp/cabs...something mounted on a mic stand is as close I would be comfortable with. Capped water bottles on the floor beside my cab are fine with me.

I worked hotel gigs in the 1980s where it actually stated in the contract that no drinks were permitted on the stage.

Search for the Night caddy. The cantilever will reside under your amp head and the cup holder and storage on the side of the cab.

Im stalled with ways to approach a sensible way of at-home engineering a widget. The potential I see with using an amps weight to hold it down is, well, generally our amps only weigh like 5 pounds. I just wouldn't trust it.to be secure.

All in all, no matter what, it cant.be susceptible to rattling. This takes a lot of hinged ideas off the table.

Still thinking on a workable solution.

my big roll of gaff tape on any flat surface makes a perfect drink holder, you can bump right into it and the drink is not tipping over

Any flat topped tube amp with vents directly over the power tubes where you can put your beer.

That way, your beer heats up quickly and you’re compelled to drink it quickly, so you’re drunk by the 3rd set AND when you knock the beer over, you’re guaranteed a catastrophe, instead of just worrying about it happening for hours.

I’m following this thread with interest. I’ve been looking for something to hang on the side handle of my cabs for some time. I don’t want to put liquids on top of my amp, but the cab is below the amp and if liquids start spilling up that suggests a larger problem than a wet PCB. Similarly, I don’t want to use a mike stand because my pedalboard is underneath. My heads don’t weight enough anymore to secure something underneath.

Any ideas?

Most cabs have some sort of side handle thing. They make magnetic backed cup holders with a large magnet that run the length of the holder. I've seen these in use.

I can’t believe we haven’t found a passable solution yet. This is what I’ve been reduced to… setting a glass of finely crafted cherry hard cider on a lowly stool at a gig. Obviously I couldn’t use the amplifier because it was in tilt back mode.

On the bright side… it was delicious, accessible, and slightly out of stage view ( not that I particularly cared about the last part). It also kept my coffee cup company.
