Amp-mounted beer/drink holders?

Tolex, with what cabs cost today... not.

I understand. The way our drummer throws everything around at load in and load out, everything gets scratched or ruined in a hurry (including my vehicle).

I'd normally say drilling things to a cab is very punk rock, but attaching something to hold your drink so that you don't have to bend over is not punk rock!

I put a mic style tray on my Hercules triple guitar stand. The triple is well balanced and the tray holds any kind of drink plus other things like a phone or whatever.

I really don't want any water/moisture or on around the amp.

I had a GK combo amp fried from a drummers beer. The head was upward facing in the cab and the board sizzled and died. Since then, no beers by my amps. I sing so I’m up front on stage.I use a swirly gig cup holder on my mic stand. Super convenient, cheap, and it works. I bought a two pack so I have a backup if I lose the first one. Just did that this year. Should have done it YEARS ago.

In a bar, it's good to have a beer/drink on stage, and ya want to help sell drinks.

I only drink water; I leave it to the other guys.

Mic stand holder, waaay more convenient than having to turn around and avoid the mic stand with your instrument and find your drink. Then, if you have leads it also contributes to getting them all twisted up and possibly creating a trip hazard whilst looking for your beer. Nah! Definitely mic stand!

Get a mic stand just for your swirlygig!

A swirlygig hangs off my Hercules GS414B stand.

I know it's not a direct mount to the amp/can, but I bet it could be modified...

... just purchased one to attach to my mic stand. Way better than on top of the amp/cab, or reaching all the way to the floor for a beverage.

This is the one I use. I like that it easily attaches to and removes from my mic stand. It doesn’t hold a large water bottle, but I don’t usually drink more than a 16 ounce bottle of water per set anyway. Works well.

I don't sing but mix from stage so I've got one of these on my tablet stand... but also adapted one to go on the side of my desk in the studio (after I spilled a beer into my laptop )

Take off the screw mechanism, bend the back plate flat, drill a couple of holes and it will go onto the side of your cab really solidly.

I need one that fits on the headstock of my bass. Or will that create neck dive? Oh, just drink it fast I guess. Solves that problem.

Sometimes I don't use pedal boards so it's not an issue. When I do use a pedalboard, the drink holder goes on the left side and the pedalboard on the right. I would think everyone would do this problem solved! The drink is no longer right above the pedalboard!

Beer holder on an amp? Why not also add a small fountain. Or something to cook a chicken.
