I was cool with setting liquids on my amp over 30 years ago, when I had $100 wrapped up in a second hand amp and didn't know any better. I don't have top of the line gear now but I'm not willing to risk ruining it. The drink might not get spilled, but cold drinks sweat and the condensation...so on and so forth. The risk of frying your amp might be minimal, but it is still there and easily preventable.

Amp-mounted beer/drink holders?

Electrocution is deadly. Whether the cause is a bad mic ground (as was the case for poor Les, younger brother of Alex Harvey) or a spilled drink, the point is in trying to keep you safe. Biblical quotations aside, we don't want to see the needless death of someone over an easily prevented mishap. Take the warnings in the spirit in which they were issued, please. Have a great night.
1) Les Harvey didn't die because of liquids on stage. It was a grounding issue with a microphone. If an ungrounded microphone should bring my on-stage demise, I'd like to at least have a beer in hand to enjoy the end.

I’ve had a swirlygig and it was cool… but I forgot it at a venue. So I lost my swirlygig and my favorite water bottle. Plus I sometimes drink coffee and my mug doesn’t fit it the swirlygig.

Fair. I should also say that I typically rack/case my amp heads, which means any small amount of sweat is hitting the case - not the amp itself. In this instance, the rack case is not a flat surface - so i couldn't set a beer on top if I wanted to. I'm liking some of the options that could mount to the side of my cab, which puts them below the amp head, away from the front/cones, and away from my pedalboard, cables, etc.

It isn't really a biblical quotation per se, it's a partial quotation taken out of context - the original Bible verses don't really apply to this topic.
Anyway... A thin board slotted in between top and bottom cabs and sticking out a little to the side as a shelf could be good way to keep a drink at your amp but positioned such that a spill will definitely not end up with liquid in the amp even if you fumble putting the cup down. Optional: velcro on one of the collapsible cup holders shown above.

I saw this in a music store in Wisconsin a while ago. It had hinges and folded up for traveling. They even let me place my beer in there and take a picture!
My bottom end rattles way to much to put any liquid near it. I use a mic stand cup holder. Amazon $20.
It was very nice of them to offer up a Spotted Cow for me to take the pic! I personally wouldn't attach a beer to my rig as they go flat way too soon from the vibrations. I usually place my drink on the floor near my rig and make a loud fart noise when I bend over to pick it up.
I like that the opener is canted to be level while in playing position.
Semi related sidebar: my pet peeve is artwork that is positioned to be viewed vertically (on wall or stand).
Just a few small wood screws in the side of the cabinet. Who cares? The cab is going to get dinged up at shows anyway...
