AMP OHM Question

Hey everyone!

I am looking at a new bass amp since my fender bassman quit on me a little while ago and I'm looking at the acoustic B300H 300 Watt/4ohms as the bass head and for the cab I am looking to pair it up with the acoustic B410mkll 600Watts/8ohms.

And I am curious on whether or not running that amp into that cab could cause any problems?

This is the first time I'm not going with a combo so the whole ohm and impedence thing is a bit confusing. Thanks in advance for the help!

No problem but the amp's maximum power output with an 8 ohm cab will be around 200 watts. That's not a great loss of volume.

The amp only "cares" about the load (in ohms) from the cab, the cab only "cares" about the power coming in from the amp (watts). "Real world" the cab can only really take 1/2 (300 watts) of bass guitar so they both should be very happy with each other.

The 300 watt head will put 210 watts into a cabinet with 8 Ohms of impedance, 70%.
