You mean, people use those for other things every now and then?!Thats what furniture dollys are for!
3" or so is really not enough to actually affect acoustic coupling all that much.
I actually prefer non-locking, because I'd rather my rig roll around than tip over.Anyone tried locking casters? This would seem to solve the potential unwanted moving/shifting around problem.
Yeah, I only have them on my 2x15, but they're bigass casters. If I had another of my single 15" cab, I'd probably put casters on whichever one I was going to put on the bottom, so that I could roll the entire rig.+1
I believe Bill F has (had) mentioned multiple times that you can elevate 18" or 24" (I forget which one) without losing the coupling effect.
I don't use casters on any of my cabs. They're too low to the ground and I'm too tall to comfortably push them.

With Casters off I have 6 sq. ft. on the stage - You can feel the stage. ( Bare wood stage ) Casters on 4 pts on stage not so much.3" or so is really not enough to actually affect acoustic coupling all that much.
Because it took 3,800 years to invent luggage. Some wiseacre once said "If humans are so smart, why did it take 4,000 years to make luggage with wheels on it?"

Depends alot on the stage - I've played carpeted stages with no effect.
Interesting article here-http://Invalid Link RemovedYour mistaking physical coupling with acoustic coupling.
The bass is still fine in the audience even if you don't "feel" the stage anymore.
