Is it possible to put a mic for say a harmonica through an ashdown mag300 as well as an active bass?

amp question

Depends if the amp has two channels. You could also think about a micro mixer into the input of the Ashdown.
its got a passive and active input but one set of tone controls
If i put my bass in the active is it okay to put the mic through the passive?

No, because both inputs feed the same channel. You need either a 2 channel amp, or a mixer, as BPaul suggested.
