Amp setup idea. Will it work? Will it sound any good

If I didn't know any better, the OP sounds exactly like a conversation I just had about doing exactly the same thing, but with an amp that had two outs specifically to biamp, with a crossover.

Same thought process - running low freq's into the 115, and high freqs into a 210 or 410. Claims he did it, heard it, wasn't his, and wants it. I suggested searching TB and mixing cabs. Then I suggested if he likes highs, and lows, then get 1 cab that does both, like a 12/6 with an internal passive crossover. Or a 15/6 if he needs volume, etc.

I would definitely be running them both all the time, so the LF cab and the character cab would be optimal. The part of this signal chain that is stumping me is tapping out of it into the PA. There is of course the pre amp out on the back of the pre but that pretty much defeats the purpose of the splitting. I also feel like the sound guy would tell me to piss off if I said I had two DI outs on my rig. Very conflicted on this whole thing. Could always add a second pre and run the eqs through their respective effects loop but that would still not be too fun for patching into the PA.

I have very little to know knowledge on this topic (I'm not even sure how I ended up reading this thread) but can't you run both DI outs into your own board and run a line from that board to the sound guy?
