Ampeg 410HE vs. Carvin B410

Does anyone have experience playing these cabs? I've owned the Ampeg 410HE a few years ago, and loved the sound. I thinking of buying it again, but I was wondering how close in tone the Carvin B410 is to it. Both are sealed, but the Carvin can be gotten in a 4-ohm model which I like. If the Carvin is similar, I'll take that.

This is just my experience. I played 2 out door gigs this past summer. One with the back-line provided which consisted of a sansamp RBI with ampeg cabs. The other gig was using my equipment which is a sansamp RBI and Carvin BRX410 and BR1x15. I received equal complements on my tone from both shows. I really think it has to do with how you set up your rig. I can duplicate the ampeg tone and punch with my carvin cabs and put money in my pocket. I love ampeg but I have 2 complete rigs (1 as a backup). I could not do that if I purchased all ampeg.

My rig is a Carvin RL1000, R410 and R118, with a SansAmp RBI. I got no complaints.

Carvin's BRX10.4 is the better Carvin cab. The BR410 at 379.00 new is a very good cab for the money. Getting tired of saying it but comparing to cabs costing hundreds more isn't really a fair comparison. The Ampeg weighs 28 pounds more than the Carvin and cost around 300 bucks more. You can get a BR410 and a BR210 for smaller gigs and still have 100 bucks in your pocket.
