Ampeg B2RE vs. Carvin B1500

Hey Right now im playing through a Ampeg B2RE bass head but im intrested in upgrading. Has anyone had any experience with a Carvin B1500? If so i could use some input on to keep my current head or get a Carvin. Thanks

First, do a search, and you'll find out more than I, or anybody else, could tell you in one reply.

Second, I have a B1500 and love it. For only $100 more than the B2RE, it would be, IMHO, preferable in any way I can imagine. Not that the B2RE is at all a bad amp, but I personally would never ever take a B2RE if I could get a B1500. For me it's not even close, though of course it's true that tastes differ and no amp is perfect for everybody.

As you know, you can't try out the B1500 in a store unless you're clsoe to one of the Carvin shops in CA, but if you buy the B1500, you can send it back within 10 days if you don't like it.

The Carvin B1500 is one of the best sounding, LOUDEST, clean but warm and dependable amps made today regardless of price! I own that, an Ampeg SVT- CL, two Gallien-Kruegers(1001Rb and 800RB), a Markbass SA450, and a rack rig with the Fender TBP-1/Crest V900. The Carvin and the Markbass are the amps I use the most. It is an outstanding value! Save your Ampeg for a backup if you can afford it. Mine has been very reliable.
