Ampeg BA 110 or Phil Jones Micro 7?

I'm looking for a small amp to take to open mics so that I can play with my guitarist buddy (usually acoustic, occasionally electric). No drums. I normally play 5 strings, so I'm trying to find the right balance between portability and frequency response. Granted, I don't hit a low B very often. I don't have ready access to the Phil Jones so I can't test drive it. The Ampeg sounds OK but is a bit chunky and I can't get freq response info. Fender Rumbles left me underwhelmed. Opinions? Go!

I've never played through either of these amps so take that for what it's worth.

I did own a Phil Jones D400 head for a while. It was extremely hard to get enough bass response for my liking. It had very prominent mid and treble, to the point of being goose-honky in my opinion. By the time I dialed in enough bass it was mud. I currently own a 2x8 Trace Elliott cab and it has a similar response problem even when using my Mesa head which I know delivers good bass. So I'm very skeptical that the Phil Jones 7" combo will give a satisfactory bass response on a 4-string, let alone a 5.

A used Ampeg B100r of course

I have a BA110v2 and my Yamaha 5 string sounds very nice through it as well as my
P and J Basses. I don't know how much volume you might need on the gig but if more than moderate levels you might consider going one up with the BA112v2.
And I don't know your budget. There are many compact choices if your budget can bear them.
