Ampeg BA115 worth buying for 250$ used ?

hi i was wonder if it was worth buying a used 3 year old Ampeg BA115 combo amp as my first amp for 250$ , its pretty much just for practice . if not what else would be a good starter amp ?

I wouldn't. They go for 150-200ish used on my local CL fairly often. To me, it seemed like a "light" 100 watts

Not worth it. I was thinking of selling mine locally and was only looking for $100-150.... Now the BA115HP model is a different story.

$250 doesnt get a whole lot of power in a combo amp. For around that price, Id look for a used Genz Benz M line 200, or something similar if your set on it being a combo. You could probably find a GK head/Peavey cab ( or countless other entry level units) for around that same price. It all depends on your needs, and theres lots of factors for that.
