So I was checking out the "Sky is a neighborhood" Foo Fighters' video on a 58" 4k screen I picked up yesterday. And that's when I noticed it....

Don't see these being used very often. Matter of fact it's a first for me.

May I refer you to the " love of Ampeg scroll basses ? section in this category. Everything you could possibly want to know about these strange beasts.

This one looks like it has been modded with maybe a rickenbacker pickup or something, definitely not a stock ampeg, although alot of these got modded with precision bass pickups.

These instruments tend to be a bit of a rabbit hole, dont say you werent warned

Oh this dude has had that bass for years. It was very present on the tour following the release of The Color and the Shape.

Check this from 1997, he is playing it on the Late Show.


Actually, Nate has a very good taste in bass guitars and has collected poopie load of them over the years. This goes unnoticed because he basically plays his red signature p bass almost exclusively.
