Hey folks. I'm trying to find the serial #/date of manufacture on my BB4. I've looked on the tailpiece and all over this crazy baby. Do I need to take the tailpiece off to find it? This model has an Ampeg sticker on the head, and a somewhat small, rounded hourglass shaped one piece tailpiece. The fingerboard has a (worn) black coating on it and a non-symetrical playing surface; the low-string fingerboard surface is flat. I need to sell the bass and want to know more about it so it's not misrepresented. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
