Ampeg CL

all svt cl's sound the same to me. i use them a lot on the road from all different eras, and they all sound the same. the cabs, however, had a very bad period from about 2000 till loud moved them to china. but the heads have always been consistently great.

You mean the old, pre-CL SVTs - generally know as the "vintage SVT."
Or did you mean older CL amps made in the USA?

In either case there are many, many threads on both subjects. Do a search and you should find everything you'd want to know.

I meant just what i wrote older Cl amps made in the USA. If all you have to contribute is "do a search" why take the time to write anything at all...:spit:

My point is if you have nothing to add why post at all?

My point was that your question has been answered many, many times before, and the way your post was phrased made it sound like you were new to the site - some people don't realize there's an (actually useful) search function or that some subjects have been covered in depth before.

Consider my post to be representative or a path to the breadth of TBs knowledge rather than 'nothing' :eyebrow:

all these posts telling him off, when you could have just answered his question in one post, or posted a link for him, or ignored the post altogether.

lighten up.

I'm light! I've learned not to take the Internet seriously after this long :)
I just think the OP could learn more from a search than from a thread with limited input from whoever happens to be online ATM, instead of everyone who has info about the CL amp. I just want people to have the best info out there to answer their question.
Believe me it's no skin off my back!
