Gee. Thats a tough one. It depends what exactly you're getting out of your Pro. I'd say- no - its not a substitute.
But ...When I A/Bed my Aguilar with the SVT3Pro I found the Aggy to be far cleaner and punchier and the Ampeg had a slight level of fuzzy distortion. I could almost replicate that sound with the Ag and Flipster.
BTW I ended up selling my Aguilar and keeping the SVT3. I realised that fuzzy mush was actually the sound I was after- Seems to work better in the bands I am playing in at high volume.
