Hello, new user here. I was looking at an Ampeg M-15 for sale online and wondering what thoughts are on this as a bass amp. Ampeg's digitized literature only says that channel 2 is "particularly suitable for instruments where a stronger bass response is required." Is this just a guitar and accordion amp? For info, I play a ' 64 Precision, at home only, no gigging but maybe will jam with folks on some blues and classic rock. I 'd love to hear the bass community's thoughts on this.

It’s an open back guitar amp. For home practice at low volumes it might be fine, I wouldn’t try to play it at rehearsal or gig volumes.
Perhaps, but I believe the M-15 was designed as a Guitar Amp. You could definitely use it as a bass amp but the cabinet isn’t a reflex baffle enclosure. The bass response would be very different.

So-so for guitar, not even so-so for bass.
Using a speaker cabinet or combo amp designed for guitar is not a good idea if you're playing bass. They're not designed to put out that much low end. You can damage the speaker quite easily.
You can however put a guitar amp head on a bass speaker cabinet, assuming watts and ohms all match up. The EQ might not be centered at the same points, but it won't hurt anything.

My first bass amp was an Arline/Supro Thunderbolt with a great (at the time) Jensen 15”. Unfortunately the back was entirely open. Not a good bass amp.
I don’t know if I’d chance accordion on an M15, either, and definitely not bass. M15 was an older design before Jess Oliver elevated the guitar amp division with the Jet and Reverberocket.
Update on this post, I went with an Ampeg PF-50T through a Yorkville BC210.
