If you find it hums too much in the studio there is a popular easy modification detailed in a TB thread. Ampeg humbuster or something like that.
Probably also worth mentioning that Ampeg/Yamaha will fix it for you as a warranty service.

Interesting. I found the thread!Probably also worth mentioning that Ampeg/Yamaha will fix it for you as a warranty service.
Whats the difference between the transformer balanced out and the preamp out?
Going to try that first! Just hope it’s what I need in terms of powerHa, way too complex. Just stick the 50T into the 410![]()

It’s pretty obvious if you have a polarity issue - you get less bass with both running. I solved that by reversing the speaker polarity at the power amp.
They are banana plugs!
If the OP is using banana plugs then it's simply a matter of revering the banana.
If the OP is using speakON, probably easier to us an XLR phase reverse adapter.
Thanks for the detailed response!
So if I didn’t bridge the two channels on the crown, and run a signal from the transformer out of the pf50 into a single channel of the crown, then from that channel’s output into the pr-410hlf, would that work? (While simultaneously running the 210av from the pf50’s speaker out)
So are mine. They are banana plugs!
So I got the amp today! It hums pretty badly. Sweetwater is sending another one out!If you find it hums too much in the studio there is a popular easy modification detailed in a TB thread. Ampeg humbuster or something like that.

Will Do. The service guy didn’t seem to be aware of the issue; I had to point him to the humbuster thread.Let us know how it went...
Plenty of power with the right speakers. I can run 1-12 or 2-12s with it and handle 90% of what I need. Unless going up against 2 double stacks of Marshalls. Then I use my Mesa Subway 800+ with those cabs.View attachment 3618536
