PF20T owner here, but I think it is very similar to your PF50T.
In my experience:
Preamp out is cleaner and hotter. With the switch set to pre-EQ you can send the sound guy a flat, uncolored signal.
Transformer out has more "tube" and "amp-like" coloration. Your EQ and volume adjustments are heard through front-of-house.
Using my PF20T into a "power amp" (the effects return of a bass head) my experience is that the Transformer out was the winner in terms of tone. Disclaimer that I haven't gigged with this setup to find out if the output is hot enough to drive the power amp to performance volume.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at what just 2 extra speakers do. Its slightly different but I've just gone from running my SVT into a 410 to an 810. I had to turn the master down when I started using the 810...
I have the same amp. I use a 212 set up and it is MUCH more loud and full than a 210 setup. A 410 would be even better if you need it. The DI out on the amp is fantastic and running this into the PA will give you a lot of extra boost. If you still need more run the DI our into a power amp like a Crest PowerLite 2.0 for more power than you will ever need.
Plenty of power with the right speakers. I can run 1-12 or 2-12s with it and handle 90% of what I need. Unless going up against 2 double stacks of Marshalls. Then I use my Mesa Subway 800+ with those cabs.
I was experimenting with my PF-50T and a power amp the other day, running each one into its own cabinet.
It’s pretty obvious if you have a polarity issue - you get less bass with both running. I solved that by reversing the speaker polarity at the power amp.
My power amp doesn’t have a vol control, so my best results were obtained running the bass into my SCR-DI, the thru from the SCR to the PF-50T, and the XLR from the SCR to the power amp. That way I had completely independent controls for each amp.
Of course the power amp wasn’t getting real tube tone, but the whole thing sounded pretty good!
Not sure if I want to get that complicated at gigs...

If the OP is using banana plugs then it's simply a matter of revering the banana.
If the OP is using speakON, probably easier to us an XLR phase reverse adapter.

Why not just hook both cabs up to the crown? Other replies note that the transformer out is affected by the volume, this makes me think it will be better to not use the speaker output of the ampeg.
So are mine.
I usually run my PF50T with 2 x 210AVs. It’s more than enough for my cover band pub gigs.
Larger rooms usually have bass through FOH and don’t want you any louder on stage anyway
Will Do. The service guy didn’t seem to be aware of the issue; I had to point him to the humbuster thread.
I have basically the exact same setup F112 Greenboy Fearless stack with Ampeg PF-50T or Mesa D800+ for really big venues. Magical! For small rehearsals and cafe venues the Trace Elf is my go to.
