I currently have a pf 500 with two pf 210 cabs. Im looking to get a little more volume and a bit more low end. Should I go with one pf 210 cab plus a pf 115 or the pf 210 and pf 410hlf ? Any other suggestions are welcome.

I had those cabs at one time with a PF800...volume and bottom end is not really what they do. Not sure if it's because they are sealed or not, but in general ported cabs will give you more output and bottom end. Long story short I now have Mesa Subway cabs :)

If you want more lows, more than you can dial in the PF500 with your current cabs, the PF115HE will deliver.
They will go lower indeed.
Regarding volume, IMHO, IME your combination can get really loud.
However, if you would upgrade the PF500 to a PF800, you'll notice the extra headroom and your sound will be more present.

For the time being, you could experiment with cutting a bit of bass and boosting your mids to three o' clock, with midrange selector at 2.
This may sound strange, but could actually do it for you.
(maybe you have done all this, I don't know, but I wrote it for you just in case)

Hope this helps a bit. :)

A good combination of PF cabs I have heard, is a PF210he, with a PF115lf. While that would give you slightly more low end, it would not give you any more volume. You'll have to decide if it's the lack of low end that is giving you the perception that the cabs can't provide enough volume, if you need a more powerful head (Ampeg PF800?) or if it really is a lack of volume from both cabs.

I do notice with my Ampeg PF500, that it runs out of steam at about 75% volume, with the gain at 1 o'clock, 15db pad engaged, and knobs at or around noon, through an Ampeg 610hlf. My GK1001RB II however (700 watts and not a fair comparison) can blow my cab, my ear drums, and make me nauseous by shaking my insides.

I owned a Ampeg PF-500 head (actually had two of them for a short time, long story) and the "sealed" PF-115HE cabinet.

At the same time I also owned "front-ported" Avatar 210 Neo cabinets.

The PF-500 to my ears was MUCH louder, with a fuller low end through the front ported cabinet than through the sealed cabinet.

Ported cabinets are almost always going to be louder and with extended lows than sealed cabinets, just the nature of the beast....
