Ampeg pf350 rig vs fender rumble 350 rig

If you like the Ampeg tone, I think you'll really like the PF350. It's got a simple effective EQ so you also have enough to get a nice warm more "neutral" tone if you're shooting for that.

Just wondering what the volume is like on that head paired with a Rumble 4x10. I guess it should be loud enough to run next to a loud drummer and 2 guitars in a blues / rock/country setting

The Rumble 350 head has a metal plate on the bottom and the 410 speaker is supposed to have a magnet so it stays put for me.

Hard to say since everyone has a different idea of "loud". I will say that I've run mine with 2-15s and it's loud enough for anything I'd be doing - for example, a medium sized club gig.

I am running 2 gk mb115 combos and I get speaker distortion from both of them. Plenty of volume but crappy tone and and that's with no gain and only 5 on the volume

I have the rumble 350 and I had the pf500. The pf went back due to cut out issues but it sounded awesome. I just ordered the svt7pro. But the rumble rocks man. Very reliable. I pushed it hard with an 8 ohm goliathl lll for a year and not a hicup. The pf500 cut out innthe second day. The rumble sounds great. Very flexible eq and the overdrive is better then some hybrids. Just don't get a rumble cab. Eat crape and wait for the money to get a decent cab. Gens Benz comes to mind.
