Ampeg pf500 review?

Hi guys. I am looking to pick up a Portaflex amp to add some flexibility to my rig. I am wondering if anyone knows (Jimmy, you probably do), if there is a Portaflex amp that will double as a power amp for my 50T and 115HE? I know that the PF-500 has a power amp input. Does the PF-350? Also, this way I will have a solid state backup to my tube rig. Thanks in advance.

The 350 has an effects loop where you can plug your send from the 50t into the return. Same basic thing.

Question about the PF 500 iPod / headphone inputs; so if I plug in my iPod, my music coming from it is only going to come through my headphones? Or is it supposed to come out of the speaker cabinet as well? Thanks :)

ok, i bought a brand new dean active bass. had the pf-500 now for about 6 months. when i run the dean through the head, its sound great for awhile, then starts clipping out the head. dean sent me a new bass and does the same thing. dean is saying that their electronics must bee to powerful for the head and its a head issue. my other active and both passives are fine through the head. any ideas, comments or what i may be able to do to alleviate the issue? something just doesn't sound right from dean.

Hey all been lurking for a bit and reading through all the PF500 threads. I have the opportunity to pick one of these heads up for a steal (200.00 like new). As for cabs how would this pair with a Rumble 4x10 1000w cab (also have the opportunity to get on for a smokin' deal). This is an 8ohm cab so would cut the amp to 300ish watts. I don't really gig much more playing with a few friends.

Thanks in advance!!
