That's too bad. I bought a GVT15-112 a few months ago and I couldn't be any happier with it. Great guitar amp that gives the blues jr a run for the money. Sounds pretty good with bass too (gain cranked with the eq set flat).

I just tried my GVT15-112 through my Heritage 810 (w/'51 P RI).

It was pretty darned loud and clean with the volume maxed and the gain @ 9:00. Turning the gain up from there gets louder for a bit while getting more and more tube distortion.

The eq allows for a lot of tonal options.

Hey Bearded Wizard! Got my GVT15h in the mail yesterday with the same reverb problem. Cracked the tank open and discovered it had been grounded improperly. Its actually a repetitively quick fix if you've got a soldering iron, jumper wire, and a little know how. Seems to be a chronic problem with the GVTs. (Wonder if that's why they discontinued them.) Anyway, LOVE the tone of this amp for guitar and bass. This has been my first experience with a bandaxall EQ and i think its a thing of sonic beauty. I wish they offered a 30watt version so I could have a poor mans B15.

I expect the UPS truck to deliver a GVT5-110 guitar combo today. 5 Watts, switchable to 2.5.

I don't have any bass cabs here at the moment. Otherwise, I would try it out as a bass head, and report how it sounds.

The only bass I have here now is an old, (1967) Kapa, with Hofner pickup, so I could not report how a Fender would sound.

I will play the Kapa through the combo speaker anyway, and I have a Gibson SG guitar here, which is what I bought to pair it with.

If the other models in this line get sold at closeout prices, I may have to get one with a little more power.

I see the GVT112EW speaker cab is described as "double baffle".

I have just tried out my new Ampeg GVT5-110 guitar combo, and it sounds great. I partially disassembled it after initially powering it up, (as I do with just about anything I buy), and it is very well put together. No loose fasteners. Ceramic tube sockets. Typical Ampeg tone. Works good for bass at low volume. I had to run the Gibson SG guitar through a VT Bass Deluxe to get any grit. Smaller than my BA110 with less hiss. My new practice amp for guitar, and bass. I am very happy with it for the 200 bucks I paid.

Little bit more playing around with the bandaxall eq and the tone knob on my bass can produce a creamier, darker tone as well. I think these gvts are kinda like low wattage v4 reissues in a sense. Minus a few tubes and switches, of course.
