I've been looking at the PF-410HLF. Anyone use these? I like the old school look to them. But I'm not looking for an old school sound. I'm looking for a full frequency range cabinet. One that'll give me good low end, mid punch, and not round off the high end. Think I can get that with these?

I'd go with the PN-410HLF but they're more than twice the price.

I don't have the opportunity to try them both out. Can anyone tell what the outstanding differences are in the sounds of these cabs?

I'll be pushing a pair of them with a SVT-7PRO. Just one cab in small venues.

I've owned the PF410. They have a lot of low mids. The treble roll off is very nice. They have a great amount of low end as well. It's a bit of a smaller light weight cabinet too. I think they are a great value for the price. Just understand they do have limitations. It's are a budget conscious cab so it won't blow you away as to how much punishment it can take, but with 2 of them I don't think you should ever run into any issues. It's a stout little cab for sure.

Hey Johnson I see you are from NM. Are you the dude with the cool Spectors (on the ABQ bassist facebook group)?

Based on what it sounds like you are looking for I'd recommend these Mesa Powerhouse cabinets (4x10 or neo 2x12) on Guitar Center used. They'd come out to the same price shipped as a new PF-410HLF but probably rock a lot harder (I forget what these cost new... $900?).

How much of a roll off in the highs is there? I do want the option to run one cab in small venues.

Yup, that's me. It looks like the two matching MB cabs are gone. I'm also thinking about the new GK CX410s.
