Ampeg-stack tip?

Hi!
Thinking of buying an ampeg stack, SVT-4 PRO, a 4x10" cab and a 1x15" cab. I see Ampeg got several series and cabinets so i dont know what to choose... At concerts i want to Bi-amp the stack, and for practicing with my two bands i just want to use the 10" cab, so it better act like fullrange cab as well.

Im damm sure alot of you guys can give me some advice of whats best to pair! Thnx!!

The 410HLF has more low end response than the HE, but to some people's ears, the extra low end causes the HLF to be muddy so they get the HE. Having used both, I think they are both very good full range cabs that you can use by themselves. But I think I prefer the HE because it's smaller, and you'll already have a 115E for the very low end on gigs.

Totally a judgment call.

According to Ampeg's "specifications" the 410HLF actually goes lower than the 115E. It wouldn't make sense to biamp that combination. I would vote for the HE - it also is the same depth as the 15E, which will make your life a little easier when it comes time to balance the 410 of the 115.

I've tried a 410HE (500 Watt) and an 15" cab (200 Watt) but they just didn't match.

Now I use two 410HE cabs and they go low enough for me :-D

My Ampeg rig has the SVT15E under an SVT210HE. Now, the 210 was discontinued, but to me, if you've got a 15, 210's is all you need on top. A 410 would make a better standalone cab, imo. You should be able to find a used Ampeg 210 for under $350, and that is my 2 cents. Good luck, hope you get something that makes you happy for a while.

+1 on the 410he + 15he. That's what I use and it's great.
edit: I use an old ampeg svt350h with those cabinets

I use the svt4-pro 410he and 15e...its a great stack...and really the best combonation you can get considering the 410hlf is 4ohm (which is an awesome standalone cab)
