Ampeg SVT-3 Pro issues.

I posted a lil while back about an issue regarding my Ampeg SVT-3 pro. Basically what's going is a little over a month ago I turned my amp on and wasn't getting a signal. I heard a hiss when I raised the volume so I did a standard check of all my cables and they all turned out to be working just fine. I called Ampeg and they told me it was more than likely my preamp tubes considering I hadn't changed them since I bought like 4 or 5 years ago. So I bought brand new groove tubes and put them in. Plugged back in and still the exact same issue. I know the power amp section is working fine because I can get a signal through the effects return. I would take it to a professional but since I'm getting married in 2 weeks all my funds are tied up in that at the moment. This is seriously bumming me really tough any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Did you check inside the head to see if any connector cables have come disconnected? Have you tried the preamp into another power amp? Unfortunately, unless you're a tech, , plugging in a cable that came loose, tube changes, and cleaning the effects loop are about all you can do on your own, so my advice is to go ahead and get married ;) All the best!

Ya, most techs will make you pay a deposit for an hour's work, but really, your problem sounds relatively minor, more in the category of broken solder trace or something like that.
