Ampeg SVT-3 PRO question

This is my first post so im not really sure if im going to be doing this right.

I'm thinking of buying the Ampeg SVT-3 PRO, at the moment im playing a fender jazz bass through an Ashdown MAG 300 head with a used ashdown ABM 810 cab. Will there be any downfall when using the ampeg through the ashdown? I was suggest by the person i bought the cab off to buy the ABM 500 RC EVO III Head. Im just trying to gather as much info as i can.

Any other information about the ampeg head would be much appreciated.

what do you mean by downfall? both heads are good, you'll get a different sound with both, but if you like your tone the ashdown will preserve it better

lol soz, im generally talking about output. I find tht the Ashdown head stuggles to give me tht "umph" mainly in the low end area. I playing a lot more larger gigs now so output with out distorstion is becoming more of an issue

both put out the same output. ampeg might give more low end but the ashdown will be warmer.

depending on your eq settings. try both, see what you like. go to gc.
