Ampeg SVT 3PRO

I have one for my ashdown 410 and 115. Since I've had it I have never been able to make it sound right.I had the tubes changed in it thinking they may have been bad.Sounded good when I played it in the store.When I got it back home it didn't. Sounds really distorted no matter what adjustment I make.Think I may replace with an ash down to match my cabs.
You can take the 3 Pro to a tech and have him reset the bias for the MOSFETs. After so many years, they will sometimes gets out of whack and need reset.
My 3Pro has plenty of volume most of the time with 1 410. There have been times where I had to double up the cabs. With 2 410's it has plenty of head room.
I like my 3 pro, and use fairly often when the classic is too much. Still, it does seem underpowered.
Never really had a volume issue with my SVT-3Pro.
Took a little time to find EQ setting(s) that I really liked and decided to stick with, and that also helped. But, I'd never say this amp was lacking power for it's rating.
I usually run mine with a SVT 410HE (sometimes with a SVT 15E), and I think it's great. For the gigs I play, I can't imagine needing more stage volume or headroom (biggest venues are maybe 150-175 seaters) and almost always plugged into the house system anyway - either the XLR-in on the amp, or DI with my SansAmp BDDI.
