Ampeg SVT-48HE and ???

Hello.
I recently purchased an Ampeg SVT-48HE powered by a GK 400RB-IV:

This amp is a little too much for the 4 x 8" speakers.
I was thinking of getting something else for the low end, 1x15, 2x10, 2x12??? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should go with?

I like 15s a whole lot, but it's really a personal preference thing.

Dunno how this would work out but I've wondered how a nice 1x12 under that would look- like a downsized 4x10+1x15. Wasn't there an SVT 1x12 cab a while back?

There was an SVT-12HE awhile back - they don't pop up very often.

It's also 8 ohms and might be a good pairing for that 4x8"....I'd be interested to hear a rig like that.

I had a svt-12he and I have to admit it was one of the best 12" or any size cabinets I played. Very warm full tone

Would be nice to have a couple of those 12's for a small-med sized gig.


An SVT-210HE would probably be easier to find to run with the 4x8" (if you want to stay Ampeg) and would probably sound pretty nice.
