Has anyone seen what the Ampeg SVT-8PRO looks like? Why did Ampeg name it the 8PRO and not go to a 7PRO? If this amp does what Ampeg says it will, this will probably be their most popular amp.

I was at NAMM and asked the same question.. The maketing dept said they did not have good luck with odd numbered SVTs.. Beleive it or not.. The SVT3 had to be one of their biggest sellers I said.. I dont know if what they said was truth or fiction.. But that is what was said at NAMM.. So they Skipped #7 and went right to #8
