I just picked up an Ampeg SVT-CL and absolutely love it.
I did a gig earlier in the week and paired it with an Ampeg SVT210 cab. I think the head is too much for the 2x10 as the 2x10 started sounding rough at high volumes.
Anyways, I have a Sadowsky 4x10 cab (made by Bergantino) and it sounds incredible with the SVT-CL!
I hate dragging around an 80lb head (my other head is a 4.4lb MB F1!) and a 90lb cab, but my tone has never sounded better in the 20+ years I have been playing bass.
I have been playing a 1997 Fender P (MIA 62RI) lately but my usual gigging basses are Sadowskys and Stingrays. I have yet to try out the Sadowskys and MM basses through this rig as I have only had the head for a couple of days.
What is your SVT rig?
