Ampeg SVT Users... What is your Rig (cabs/bass)?

I just picked up an Ampeg SVT-CL and absolutely love it.

I did a gig earlier in the week and paired it with an Ampeg SVT210 cab. I think the head is too much for the 2x10 as the 2x10 started sounding rough at high volumes.

Anyways, I have a Sadowsky 4x10 cab (made by Bergantino) and it sounds incredible with the SVT-CL! I hate dragging around an 80lb head (my other head is a 4.4lb MB F1!) and a 90lb cab, but my tone has never sounded better in the 20+ years I have been playing bass.

I have been playing a 1997 Fender P (MIA 62RI) lately but my usual gigging basses are Sadowskys and Stingrays. I have yet to try out the Sadowskys and MM basses through this rig as I have only had the head for a couple of days.

What is your SVT rig?

Either a Warwick Streamer Stage II or a Rickenbacker 4003 into an SVT-VR and a Bergantino NV610.

I'm thinking hard about the Bergantino AE410 and AE210 however...

Be careful using an 8 ohm cab (210) with that head. I bet it sounds great with the Sad410.
I run either a USA P w/ 62RI pups or USA Jazz w/ NJ4's into a SVT-II and a NV610. I also just picked up a Fulltone Bassdrive to get a little grit without making everyone in the band deaf.

I would think that Sadowsky 4x10 would be great with that CL. It is 4ohms, right?

800W @ 4ohms.

I am going to stick to the SVT-CL and Sadowsky 410 exclusively for gigs, and practice with my Markbass F1 and Ampeg 8ohm 210.

Thanks also to ninerfan for the 8ohms heads up on the 210. Didn't even think about an Ampeg head blowing an Ampeg cab due to ohm-age!

71 SVT with either a 98 P-deluxe or my 69 P-bass.
For cabs, I use either my NV610 or a 4 ohm HIWATT 1x15 cab.

Didn't even think about an Ampeg head blowing an Ampeg cab due to ohm-age!

Its not a problem for the cab, Its your head that isn't recommended (or designed) for 8 ohm use.

I have two 70's Magnavox heads and three 70's cabs, two straight back and one towel bar in great shape, all original speakers except the tolex is half ripped off, sounds clear and punchy with no rubs and all original speakers, this one may be in the for sale section soon, is superfluous to my needs. All Ampeg here all of the time.

Oh my basses are two Gibsons: a 2007 T-Bird and a 69 EB-3, a 72 Fender fretless P bass with maple neck, a 72 Fretless 4001FL, a 2006 Fretless 4003FL (Blueboy) and a 79 mapleglo 4001. one Bulgarian upright with mag pickup and piezo pickups.
I've been using the T-Bird quite a bit lately.

one of my FAV rock sounds of all time, is a simple SVT-VR + 8x10 w/ my sadowsky. w/ both the treble/bass on the sad preamp set to 75%, set the midrange voicing knob to that lower middy setting, and pounding comes to mind. flippin pounding.

I've never found a stage it wouldn't handle.
