Does anyone know the brand of tubes that come stock in the SVT3 Pro's preamp? I'm considering swapping them out for better tubes. I feel like my tone is just about there, but lacking somewhat. Figured a tube swap may be an idea to try.

Here are the specs:
Driver Tubes: 1 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7
Preamp: Tubes (3 x 12AX7)
Power Amp: Solid-State

I got that part. I'm wondering who MAKES the tubes that are stock, the brand. I'm curious if it's worth trying a different brand of tubes.
I think the stock tubes are generic "Made in China" tubes... I have an Ampeg svt 3 pro and asked a very similar question on TB a few days ago with some good suggestions:

Historically, they were for a long time tubes we bought and sent to Groove Tubes for grading...... not actual "Groove tubes" from them.
Later that changed a bit, but I don't recall the details. We were looking around for better vendors around the time of the buyout.

When I bought my new MIA (production year 2005) Pro 3 it had EH (electro harmonix) pre tubes... .
(Compared to the higher gain Groove Tubes in my stock SVPCL, I prefer the warmer, less-gain timbre of the EH's.)
