Ampeg V4B or PF50T?

So OP is talking about what I believe is the V4BH if it’s from the early 2000’s. Different amp from the latest V4B RI or the original V4/V4B from the 70’s.

I can only speak to the originals, and they definitely have the tone! Heavy though.

Yes. I was initially thinking of buying a used V4BH and SVT410HE cab or go for the PF50T wich also seems very fitting for my needs. But after some testing and thinking back and forth I decided to pay the extra dough and get a new V4B RI with the SVT212AV.
I still haven’t gigged it but it sure looks good and seems to sound great at home

Hey mick, what's the verdict after gigging with It? I'm planning on getting the V4B, but the dilemma now is do I get 2 212av's or 2 115's

It going really well. I haven’t had a chance to gig with it as much as I would have wanted this summer for practical reasons but when I have I love it.
Best rig I’ve had so far surely.

I would go for the 212 because of it’s unusually nice midrange response wich is pretty hard to get in other cabinets.
I’ve also used my V4 with 410 HEs and it sounds great too, a bit smoother perhaps.
That said I don’t have experience of that amp with a 115.
I’m sure it will sound really good too, maybe a bit less ‘in your face’ and more vintage mellow. But I’m usually a 15’ guy so I think either is a good combo.
The 212 if you want a bit more growl and the 115 if you favour warm thump.

It would depend on WHICH 115/s you're thinking on.
Some 115s, such as my 2 Bassman Pro Neo 115s, are very tight and middy sounding, others are tuned more deeply.
I can't speak for many other 1x15 cabs, but the V4B sure sounds great thru one or two of these Bassman cabs
