SVX plugin used for all of my bass tracks (old band)

I had a mixed experience with it. Really didn't like performing in the studio with it - even with the fastest quad G5/protools, it was still laggy and not as articulate as I would have liked. However, it allowed significant tweaking after the fact, and I'm pretty pleased with the result.
The music isn't really my cup-o-tea, but I think the production is pretty good.
I have a problem believing this..i run the Ampeg SVX at 96000 live and there is absolutely no latency at all and im on a macbook :-o

I do think that for a plug in it still quite expensive. About half the price would be reasonable and it would stop people trying to get "cracked" versions.

Software just doesn't get the respect it deserves. compared to buying and maintaining all the amps and effects it replaces it's very cheap. Still - it's software.
Street price is falling to 275 from what I've seen. At the moment they are bundling Amplitude 2 Live (lite version of Amplitude) and a couple of extra goodies.
And yes you can use it live but I think it will take a while for that to catch on.
