Not being one who follows pop trends, I never looked into who this "Amy Winehouse" was, until I followed a link on this forum, in another thread.
Admittedly, I know rather little about her. She may be worthless outside of this clip, for all I know:
But, for what it's worth, I've fallen for the girl in this clip. She shows great talent here.
It would be a shame to see her self-destruct. I am shocked by some of the responses in this thread.
I know there are a lot of amateur musicians here, and many young people, so perhaps drug-addiction is something new to you...it's nothing new to me, and I've seen it take talented people from our midst. I was on the road, as a touring musician, for almost 15 years. Being a professional musician is a lonely, stressful, challenging, and difficult job.
There's a reason why so many succumb to such things. Everyone thinks that the "job" is the hour or so spent on stage. If you really think that, then you prove that you are an amateur...an outsider, who knows not of the challenges involved in being a touring professional musician.
Try to consider that when you judge this young woman so harshly. The road has taken much stronger MEN, than this poor girl.

She's an excellent musician, but she is completely wasting her talent, which is something that isn't new in pop music, but thankfully most of the others actually can put on a respectable show, and not make fools of themselves.
