Amy Winehouse performance

Her hair looks like the Ronettes. Way before hairmetal!
She is extremely talented.:bassist:
Only the English get to make jokes about their teeth.:D
Thank you for flouride even if in saving out teeth it caused complacency in the general population. Look it up. Didn't notice did you?:rollno:
She has possibly hit her bottom. Everyone has their distance they will fall down. Your's might be to your couch.:) Let's support her with our good thoughts.
She ultimately wants to me a wife and mother.
It takes talent to interpret that genre of music without sounding like Michael Boltan.

Considering that the other performances at the EMA's were along these lines

her's was a real highlight.

Intro: "Time now to chock your keys at the concierge and check into one of the hottest rock acts around. It's the Teutonic (Germanic) Triumph that is Tokio Hotel!"

Wow. You suck announcer lady.

Song excerpts: "I've been waiting here so long...."
"The Monsoon can't keep me away from you."

Grrrrrrr......is that Chris Crocker singing? :eyebrow:
Or maybe it's the lead singer for Enuff 'Z' Nuff? :p

P.S. I know who he is.

Amy's diction is part of her schtick. Her "problems" have gotten her a lot of mileage in the press...did you ever consider that the whole issue might be contrived? The band is excellent, IMO, and she's obviously being very well managed as she's made a lot of noise in the past year. In the clip posted, she seemed to have no trouble with the meter change, which makes me think she's not the wastrel she's projecting...a performance is all about getting tongues wagging.

it's so hard to get noticed anymore, I just wonder if the whole spectacle is manufactured to a degree in the interest of career advancement.

Incidentally, I don't own her record, but I think she as an interesting voice & style...the whole retro thing really works with that "damaged goods" persona.

Leave Amy ALONE!!! She's a HUMAN!!! (sob) You're lucky she even performed for you B*ST*RDS! Anyone that has a problem with her, you deal with ME, because she is not well right now! LEAVE HER ALONE!!! (sob)

Now excuse me while I go fix my eyeliner.
