So I'm leaving my bluegrass(ish) jam this morning and I slide my bass into the back of my silver SUV. A guy walks up and says, "You've gotta see what's in the back of my car." He leads me to the silver SUV parked behind mine, and there is an upright bass. I say "What kind of music do you play?" He says, "Bluegrass." His band was playing at a record store down the street. I ask what kind of bass he's got, he says "Englehart" - same as mine. I ask what year - his is a couple of years older than mine. He says he drove up and bought it from the factory. So did I.
