Ah... an in-ear... That would do it.
I once played with a drummer who was a meticulous time keeper even when he was singing his heart out doing lead vocals or improvising complex harmony parts while backing guest male or female vocalists (different keys).
But one time a venue's staff turned on a strobe light and...![]()

I mean sorry, that sounds horrible! Poor guy!

Well, I do hope that Serene Branson gets invited to do S.N.L. I'm mean the skit practically writes itself: she speaks everything with an impeccable diction; and all the other cast members are tongue-tied but keep looking at her like she's odd.

I can see how it could be funny but it just struck me as scary first.

i did laugh at first , but after reading that she very well may have had an attack of some sort , i do regret laughing at her ...
i think it's just human nature to laugh , especially at someone else's expense .
oh well , maybe this situation has made me think twice .
