that's it! Great job Frank!
it's a really nice sounding (and original!) circuit thanks for going the distance with me. drool
We will have to try another one in 2016.

What?? I was expecting this to become a monthly thing.

NOOOOOO! When John was trying to get that tranny to work with the GK amp simulator, it sparked a few brain cells for this whole output amplifier emulation theme.
I have another cool idea for this transformer, but I won't put John thru the pains of prototyping and troubleshooting it. This idea I will try myself first to see if it is good or a bust.
Recnsci posted a circuit early on in this thread that looks very interesting.

No fair. You need to get all your good ideas out on the table first so I can decide which one to spend my limited funds on!
I'm eagerly awaiting the sound clips of this. Even with 5 dirt pedals already, I may just have to make a place for this if I like how it sounds!
clips coming soon of the prototype.I'm looking forward to the sound clips too!

here's a quick & dirty soundclip of it. the very first part is to show the difference of bypassed level vs clean highly boosted clean level.
at 1:06 it's back to bypass and at 1:13 I click it in at untiy gain but with some OD/drive.

It sounds like exactly what I want! Can I have one? Here is all my money.![]()

Ok, I'll go first with bringing up the issue of finding someone to build these... @DirtyDuke @Feral Feline , did either of you guys have any success with Hamish at Southampton (or anywhere in Canada) around finding someone to build one of the GK Rails pedals? If so, perhaps they could build this one too?
I so badly wish I had some building skills right now. So. Badly.
