Man I had bad GAS today...
1969 Gibson EB2
Beautiful ! I love EB2's. Fatness.
Beautiful! How does she play?
She plays really well, from the very minor time spent (maybe ten minutes as I just got it), but I am pretty excited about it. I am going to give it a good run tonight.
You just got it ten minutes ago and you're in here talking with us boneheads? hahahahaha
Yeah nice bass indeed. Your rehearsal room will rumble tonight!
Very smart!! Good catch
what a thing to buy on a whim!
Nice bass! I had an original 1959 EB-2 with the banjo tuners and bakelite pickup. Sold that one to Paul Turner and I have always remembered it fondly. Saying that, Paul puts it to better use than I ever did.
I was thinking of putting some flatwounds on her. What do you guys think? I am new to the semi hollow, so I am just experimenting. But I want to know.
Flats for sure!
TI jazz flats!!!
Beautiful bass! Any chance you can post sound clips once you decide on a set of strings.....pretty please??
Would you mind telling us what you paid?
There is one at a local music store with a very good price on it... at least I think it's a very good price.
I paid 1200. I honestly don't even know if that was good. I was just drawn to it.
What a deal!! That's an absolute steal matey!!! Well done!
Beautiful bass. As far as strings, the TI JF324s will be too long on account of your bridge and 2 + 2 headstock. They would sound fine, but might break since the big part would be wrapped around the tuning posts.
