Just dropped the deposit for my Conklin 8 string hollowbody.

that is going to be amazing. I just looked over the conklin site and discovered that they make basses with less than 7 strings and it exited me. mabey one of these days I will get a sweet conklin 5 or 6 string made.

I wouldn't mind a custom Conklin. But it wouldn't be more than 6 strings. And if that tuned F#BEADG.

I just feel weird playing a bass where the high string isn't a G.

No official estimate yet.. My last one was around 20 weeks... But it was also delayed a little by the summer NAMM, and the pickups being back ordered.. When I put the order in for my last 8 string Bill had said 16 weeks... I'm guessing it'll be somewhere around that same time span.
