one of the reasons i got suspicious that this was fake (besides just not wanting to believe it) is because i don't know what 'jezebel' is. today their front page has a nice graphic of a female butt. their slogan is: Celebrity, Sex, Fashion for Women. and all their stories seem to try to deal with issues of the day from a female (and sexy) point of view.

in other words, i don't think this site is 'reporting' in the professional sense of the word. consider the source....

Pretty much. The writers are actually funny, intelligent, progressive, and insightful folks too. Definitely not journalism as most folks think of it but a great site, in my opinion.

It's very different, because most of the interactions on facebook are with actual friends/acquaintances, or perhaps one or two steps removed from an actual friend/acquaintance.

It's pretty obvious this isn't hard journalism but it does illustrate that racism is taught and there are plenty of racists to teach their offspring all sorts of bigotry.. just goes to show it isn't only old white guys in pickup trucks with a dixie flag on the back..
