They released 2 movies that were alternative endings to the series. The last one was the one the creator felt concluded the series the best.

Cool...I'll have to look into picking both movies up sometime...I was wondering what everyone was talking about...I was scouring the internet trying to find out if it was an Easter Egg on one of the DVDs, all to no avail...

Yes, the actual ending didnt go over soo well, So you need to buy the MOVIES "Death and Rebirth" And "The end of Evangellion"

They are the "True" ending...

Yeah that list is a little out dated, I do have others (Spirited Away, Moving Castles, Kiki's delivery service Getting Nausica of the Valley of the Wind)

Yeah invader zim isnt anime at all, not even a little, but it is animation so I figured id toss it in, I love all animation, really.

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The "original" Neon Genesis was recorded off of TV for american audiances, thats why the sound was SH*T and the Contrast was SH*T so, now they FINALLY made the "Platinum" Edition, and they are coming out one per month, I have the First 5 on DVD in there collection box, Its SOO much better, its unreal!

Disc 5 is messed up!

maison ikkoku is my all time favorite. I estimate I've watched that entire series (96 half-hour episodes) about 6 times since 1993.

other stuff I like: azumanga daioh, marmalade boy, kimagure orange road, chobits, rahxephon, video girl ai, dragonhalf, project-ako, and pretty much anything by miyazaki/studio ghibli (spirited away, princess mononoke, laputa, etc.).

Original japanese only (NO DUBS! :spit: )

Oh man, I forgot all about Outlaw Star, I loved that show.

Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Lupin the 3rd, Case Closed(Solving the crimes was fun, and the only time I actually got one, they cheated and used a detail that wasn't mentioned), Princess Mononoke(sp?) Spirited away.

The paper controling chick thing was a movie, and it was called Read or Die, I fell asleep during it though, but the parts I saw were cool.

Dubs are tools of the devil, surely.

I just sorta fall in and out of anime. I've got nothing against it (in fact, animation is one of my favorite mediums), but I don't celebrate it for merely being anime.

I generally watch the "big" series (subbed, when possible) and occasionally see some fairly underground stuff, but it's mostly whatever catches my attention for some reason.
