Another Ampeg V4BH question.

Use more speakers. My 610 is plenty loud, my 115 not so much (although loud enough to be heard over the drums at practice).

One real cool thing about the V4BH is the on-board DI. I walked out front at the last gig for soundcheck and I had turned down the master so I was getting just the FOH tone. Still nice and warm with mids. Great amp all around.

I can't understand how that would help a bass player with a 100 watt amp. For a guitarist who wants to get a cranked tube amp sound without drowning out a jet airplane sure but I think what we're looking for is more volume from our V4B.

The Hot Plate also has a built-in line out, as the guy above pointed out. It eats the amp's output signal and poops an instrument or line level one.

Plug amp into hot plate, then plug outlet of hot plate into power amp. Amp makes sound, poweramp makes it louder. Welcome to the 1,000-watt V4B.

Plus you can grill burgers on the thing while the drummer's soloing.
