We are rapidly approaching the point where these types of shootings are barely a blip on the news radar. Just more background noise for the cable news networks to fill time with.

That's the most frightening thing of all in my opinion.

"The shooting was the fourth at a U.S. school within a week.

On Feb. 8, a woman shot two fellow students to death before committing suicide at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge. In Memphis, Tenn., a 17-year-old is accused of shooting and critically wounding a fellow student Monday during a high school gym class, and the 15-year-old victim of a shooting at an Oxnard, Calif., junior high school has been declared brain dead."

***? :rollno::scowl:

When I logged on, the news headline said 5 dead.* :rollno: :(

I wonder if we'll find out that this had something to do with Valentine's day, and being dumped?

Remember the guy who killed those people in the mall just before Christmas?

What a world. :scowl:

Mike
* I should have read your link first, Marshall, then I would have known this.

Is it so much to ask for a newspaper that write about fire fighters saving kittens. I would pay to read that in the morning.
Just watch the last 5 minutes of any local TV newscast. That's where they put the cute-animal "stories" and other fluff.

Can we seriously just temp ban people who feel the need to bring a "firearms/2nd amendment/America sucks ::insert country:: is so much more superior to yours" comment when these types of threads pop up? These statements contribute absolutely nothing to the thread and are only there to start flame wars and/or troll.

1) That doesn't seem in the spirit of TB.

2) The poster that you're railing against is from Spencer, MA.

3) He's right. :ninja:

+100000. Freedom of speech should be applied here too, as long as the conversation stays civilized and you don't start throwing **** on other people. They have the right to their opinions.

Anyway, tragic story. As always. :(

Even more tragic is that more shootings will come unless something radical is done.

Hahaha, the funny thing about that is, that it seems to be totally ok to say our systems are messed up and how we are all going to die because we dont carry guns. Yeah.

Do say anything to america, it'll just tell on you.

On topic tho, jesus, that sucks, what kind of mindset do you need to be in do something like that :scowl:

America's love affair with firearms continues...

Yup - how many deaths/ incidents will it take before people realise that :

No Guns = No Massacres....? :hmm:

We had Dunblane (google it!) - since the ban on handguns - no similar massacres have happened - how easy do you want the logic to be? :rollno:
