Another crazy audition............

Hi.
My god, that was difficult stuff there IMHO. To be able to sing like that live would require very, very good pitch to pull it off. "Easy" enough to do in the studio with patience, but without any clues in a live situation I can hear a train wreck coming from miles away. With a fretless a hardcore pro could probably pull it off, but everyone else would be having a hell of a time to follow.
Good decision to haul ***, I humbly withdraw my previous assumption

Yo, she sings exactly like that live. Can you believe those are studio tracks? I would have immediately used AutoTune on her!

She rates about 9.5 out of ten on the terribility index. The scary part is that there are many worse.
Sadly. LOL, I also have the feeling that she will rip your head off at the slightest suggestion to help fix things AND she's likely to tell you to bring more red basses.
I agree, it's not as bad as I was expecting. The problem might be more apparent without the vocal processing on the recording.
it seems that singers doing that new fangled r+b somehow feel compelled to cram every note ever imagined by man or machine into each and every phrase they sing in some misguided michael bolton-ish addled attempt to be soulful..... ive heard lots that are worse than this one ....... that said, even the best of them can be tedious.......prolly best to pursue other projects.....
well, old RB can actually be pretty good; now the singers seem over-processed and the bass = synths galore

I should kept the mp3, I was e-mailed, that had her singing Phil Collin's 'In The Air Tonight'! Honestly, she wasn't even in the same key! I didn't join their band. In any case, my own band is on a whole 'nutha level!
Yes. The drummer didn't even give a hint on her singing skills which leads me to believe they may be having something going on.
Now as for the file I said I erased..............I didn't. I still have it. Wanna hear it? Here it goes....

Note: They didn't have a bassist at this gig. After listening to it again, it's not that bad but that off pitch singing would annoy me and I doubt gigs would come a calling. I just don't see much money coming from this so I passed.

She tends to sing very flat, and isn't really catching the contour of the melody, but the quality of her voice isn't too bad, and she seems to have decent rhythm.
Ah well, I wouldn't want to do it it either, but depending on how old she is, she may actually be quite good in a few years.

Listened to 'In the Air Tonight.' Yep, really, really awful-flat city. 1st. tier American Idol humiliation level. She may be pretty, and very nice, but Run Away.
