I used to think (and still do to a large extent) that completely changing your face through surgery is lame and pretty crazy actually. Especially for guys. I could understand a procedure like a mole removal or something minor to "correct a blemish" if it bothers a person so much. But I can't really understand the mentality of someone who's willing to completely change their face to the point where they are unrecognizable from what they used to look like.

I still think it's lame, but if it really going to improve someone's self-esteem and improve their mental health, then who am I to judge? They aren't hurting anyone, and it is their own money. I hope it makes them happier and better people.

I'm more bothered by the constant bombardment perpetuated by the media that brainwashes people into believing that they need to look or dress a certain way in order to be accepted. The "great news" is that with plastic surgery becoming cheaper and more accessible (and more "real" looking too), you don't need to be a mega-rich movie star to afford it. Before long, sculpting your face could just be viewed as "accessorizing". And the business of vanity doesn't seem to be losing demand any time soon.

Not that I ever gave it any serious thought, but I always figured that a person is born with a face and a body for life. They need to come to terms with it and deal with it. Simple as that. But the new generation of people born into these herd mentality values might not think that way any more as they look toward money and technology to remedy anything they consider to be undesireable.

Oh God... IMO that's absurd and just plain obscene. While they were at it, I wonder what they did to enhance their "other" leg.

Reminds me of the Swan. Now those are some extreme makeover. Besides, sometimes people that are born pretty in general are a little bit shallow on the inside than anyone who did plastic surgery to up their self esteem.
