Another "fake" thread

We do know that. National Geographic was really brutal with the whaling articles when I was a kid. :(
Ah, I was thinking more of the Aztec founding mythology (also learned from NG), but yeah. ;)

And FWIW, whaler's sea chanteys where the equivalent of 17th century metal, don't believe me, listen to the middle solo section of Mountain's "Nantucket Sleighride" - it's a hornpipe, ripped right off a whaler, from the sound of it. ;)

I believe you. Bunch o' dudes on the ocean, up to their armpits in blood and guts...what could be more metal than that?
