I personally find this offensive.
I'm 17 years old, however, I have paid for all of my gear myself by constantly busting my ass at my job along with whatever else I could pick up and by playing in my band.
Granted, the others in my band are 23, but I still find this very offensive. While there may be SOME that just mooch off of their parents, there are also many hard working guys/kids like me that have worked for everything they have.
My band also hasn't received our sponsors and label attention by contatly re-tuning our guitars and complaining about how our parents wont buy us stuff.
What you said there is just as, if not more, offensive than the "no one over 30" part of the ad.
Yeah, I'll clarify. I don't mean to offend, but excuse me for not thinking the best of these guys. You said yourself there are some kids who mooch of their parents. These guys seem entitled enough to be some of them. I'm not undermining anything you have done. Don't take it personally.
I'm 24, and I'd play with a talented 17 year old in a heartbeat with no additional criteria then I would have over any other members. My current bandmates are all at least 5 years older than me.
Maybe I'm just bitter my Eden didn't qualify.
