That's where I learned about "lobbing the V"!

Then I learned flickin the V could mean another splendid thing entirely.

I had a Criminal Justice professor who had been a cop in California for 25 years He worked in Gangs, vice, Narc. over the course of his career. He said The ratio for corruption as right around 30% of any given police force, and those numbers are pretty universal Nationwide and also top to bottom.

I'm not sure about those figures, but the good cops do admit that they work with "bad" ones. They really can't stand corrupt cops far more than any of us realize.

My neighbor is a Seattle cop and great guy. I was just talking with him about how thankless of a job it is. Especially when you consider the siginificant dangers involved.

I don't think most people have any idea of just what cops see and do every day. To keep your composure while facing the worst of humanity on a daily basis takes a very special person.

This really hits home since we've lost a lot (6 in the last couple years) of good officers in my area.

We'll I can't argue with you there, my teacher, a retired detective, said that the "good" cops felt trapped by the blue curtain( or blue code)the same way corrupt cops are protected by it. He said it was a major factor on his decision to leave the force when he did, he had had enough of keeping his mouth shut.
