well they are chewing up my fingers pretty good! They are not smooth at all. actually really harsh for nickels. they sound ok....they seem a little thick for lights but really rip your fingers apart. I played for a half an hour and I am sore now! maybe when they break in they will feel better.....they are stiffer then I thought they would be. I might be going back to XL170s tomorrow on this bass. some reason XL170s just feel good on the 75 avri.
